I would like to whine about the fact that I am on the do not call list yet still receive telemarketing calls, and lately super annoying political calls.
Hanging out with my super successful and well off friends makes me feel THAT much worse about having difficulties finding a job and currently living with my parents... One of my good childhood friends is visiting the area this weekend - she and her husband are really successful lawyers - and I kind of don't want to see them because of this :-/
Also, every time the phone rings I hold my breath and hope SO much that it's an interview for me, and it never is
OK I need to start thinking about whines that don't have to do with my job/living situation issues, but that's the biggest thing on my mind from the moment I wake to the moment I go to bed!!

My sewing machine...I'm in the begining stages of learning how to use it & fixing issues with it..if its set up & ready to go I'm great on it but I'm trying how to fix issues that come up with it on my own...last night DS is in bed asleep DH is on his xbox so I had time to work on DS's quilt was doing great til the bobbin ran out of thread tried to refill it again & to put it back in but it wasn't tight enough & kept getting jammed so needless to say I got to work on the quilt very little! So tonight I'll be taking it to my moms so she can teach me how to fix this issue.

I hope you get your interview soon. You are a successful mom and you should be proud, pretty soon things will get better!
I would liked whine about my DS not eating!!! He goes through these phases where he can just have 23 oz and won't eat anymore. It drives me insane. Why can't he just eat and not fuss?? Whine over...
I want to whine about my PhD program. Everything that could go wrong did and more.
My committee chair is on sabbatical and forgot to let me know!
I need to graduate by May!!!!!!
That happened to me too!!! My adviser is pure evil and held up my dissertation for the most ridiculous reasons! I was supposed to finish it before DD was born, and of course that didn't happen. I'm sort of trying to finish from off campus, but at this point I'm just so over the whole thing... Not to mention that the careers I'm interested in don't require one anyway! My adviser's been on my case about it lately too :-/
You're really brave for having a baby and still working on it - that's awesome on you! Best of luck!!

Aw thank you guys so much! I really appreciate the support! I think it'll work out soon too, but the wait is just so tough... Many of these positions (I'm looking for administrative stuff in higher ed) wait 2 months between taking the resumes and even starting to schedule interviews! It's nuts!

My whine is that I was looking forward to my baby and mommy yoga classes that were located about 2 minutes from where I live. They just called to tell me that the classes have a new location. It's now 1 hour from where I live...:(
My second whine is that I'm in the process of looking for new office space for work closer to home. I will be joining a new team and checking it out tonight, but DH has to fly tonight, so I will be wearing LO there...(this isn't so bad) just hate DH's unsupportive work schedule...:(
I'm so sick of seeing my "friends" on fb that are my age posting statues about going out and drinking and then saying how miserable they are from being hungover and taking care of they're babies. Well you bitches shouldn't have gotten KU at 21! Stay home with you kid!!! Ugh! Sorry maybe I'm a little bitter because I have yet to leave my LO for more than a quick grocery shopping trip but still, grow up!!!
DH works nights and sleeps during the day. So I am having to pack the house for a move and take care of DS during the day on my own, it's exhausting. Especially because he only naps in the swing or in my lap, and the swing batteries died and I can't get any till Friday. And besides he only sleeps for 45 minutes in the swing at a time if I am lucky. And last night DS didn't go to sleep till 10:30, woke up every hour till 5am, then didn't go back to sleep for 2 hours. And was up for the day at 8. It's been six weeks and he is still only sleeping for the LONGEST 2.5 hours at a time, and usually only 1.5 to 2 hours at a time at night So tired. Okay Whine over.

acb & mk, just wanted to say good luck! I think the final 6 months of the dissertation are the absolute worst. It does make graduation day that much better though.....plus you never have to do it again : )
