Other boards...

scare the bujeezes out of me!  I lurk on the 6 - 9 mo board on occasion, and will post there every now and then.  And I lurk on other boards, just to see what they're about and what's being said, when I'm bored.  But holy heck!  A lot of them are very scary...you have to be "x, y, or z" or you can't post there and they let you know that up front and are NOT nice about it.  I know our board, well, we have our differences on occasions...and it's a little cliquey at times...but it's an online public community, so I don't expect too much.  But, I don't know that we've ever told anyone new coming in, no you can't post here because you've not been here from the beginning (yes I actually saw that somewhere yesterday, but don't remember which board I was on).  We all have a right to our own opinions, have a right to disagree or not like what someone has said (and it has happened on numerous occasions), join in on debates or stay out it's all good, but we've never out right told someone to get the heck out!  Whew, I'm glad this is the first and only group I ever really came to because I would not have stuck around, lol (laugh out loud, for those who hate using acronyms!).  I just don't get some of the boards I guess, but glad I'm part of the February 2012 group!

Since I'm a SAHM I was posting on the SAHM board.

It was only a week or 2 until I gave that one up.

They're weird. Lol...

The parenting board is where I lurk when I'm bored.

I lurk a few other boards. I post occasionally on the Babies' boards any of them, but mostly 69 right now and on the 1,2,3 tri boards. I will even post on nurseries/gear, BSB and BNB if we're super slow.

I like to lurk Parenting too... But the idea of really posting there terrifies me.

I agree!  Some moms are the 6-9 month board are mean!!  I think they enjoy spouting their wikipedia knowledge and trying to make other moms feel stupid

I've not found the 6-9 to be too harsh, though there are moments...it's really some of the others that I RUN for my life from, lol.

Please, no one take offense to this...I went through fertility issues of my own, my sister has gone through issues, so I'm super sensitive when it comes to fertility issues.  But here's my question...why in the world is there a "child free: not by choice board"?  The last place I'd want to be, if I were in their shoes/when I was in their shoes, is a web site with baby stuff displayed all over the place!!!  I'm not saying they don't need support, especially from those going through the same thing, but OMG...when I was going through all of my stuff, there's no way in the world I could've been on the bump for anything.  I feel bad for them all, I really truly do!

Yeah a few months ago I posted something on 6-9 a while back and got somewhat flamed for it, so I really don't stray far from this board.  Seems like a lot of boards on TB are a haven for bishes that like to cause drama and I have no need for that.
