Trying to Get Pregnant

Anyone attend classes online? (vent)

Do you still plan to attend when you get a BFP?  I just about went ape sh!t earlier trying to finish up an assignment and the house noise (DD and DH) was about to throw me over the edge... I don't know if I can continue this during pregnancy much less another baby!  ARGH!

Re: Anyone attend classes online? (vent)

  • I actually completed my whole Master's program online while I was a nanny for a 3 and 5 year old. I also had the opportunity to work at home too though and not just around the kids.

  • I'll still be completing my PhD, so yes! I do expect some temper tantrums along the way though!

  • I'm almost done with my Master's program which I did 100% online.  I only have DH and a dog to deal with.  Can you do it at work at all?  Or during nap time?

I should be done May 2011, and if I get KU this cycle my EDD would be later March

  • I finished up my Master's online in my last trimester with DS. It was rough at times but I figured that it would be easier to finish up online rather than end up driving to campus with a newborn. With two kids though that would be a completely different story...

  • I'm working on my Master's and am doing it completely online. Luckily, I've been able to get a lot done recently since DH is at work, and I'm home for the summer. I'm trying to get as much done now as I can.

  • I am going online right now for my Bachelors. I should have my Associates this spring. I am going to keep going when I get my BFP considering I already have chaos, took care of my granmother till she passed and didn't take a break from school. I go all year round without and breaks. I know what you mean about trying to get things done. I usually spend one whole day working on all my assignments for the whole two classes so that I am caught up for the week ahead, that way when chaos does erupt I am ready.

  • I've never been pregnant BUT I have taken many online classes. I found them easier. I just do better when I dont have a lecture to listen to and can go at my own pace. I aced Biochemistry this way.

  • I did my whole masters online as well (education, University of Phoenix).  I wasn't pregnant at the time, but I was also an academic adviser for online students at UoP.  I had many students who were pregnant and still managed to finish their classes.  Online is usually easier to accommodate your schedule around.

  • I finished my Bachelor's online last August. I finished a class on a Monday, had my son that Saturday and started back up when he was 4 weeks old.  If I had waited I would have had to re-apply for financial aid again and pay for my last class.  I wasn't easy at first, but once I realized I could put my laptop next to me on the couch/bed while I was BFing, I would read my online books. GL!!
