Overall, everything went very well. My plan to have the party at the church instead of the house almost worked. We had a few family members show up for church thinking they were going to hang out at our place between the service and the party, but they didn't complain when I said the house was for napping babies only. My PITA MIL also showed up an hour early, wanting in the house, but then she hung out in the hall, getting in the way while I finished decorating.
