just saw your post in FFFC about DD only wanting to wear dresses... SD went through a phase like this too, my therapist told me that she did it because she was learning about gender and she associated girls wearing dresses and boys wearing pants, SD needed to be known that she was a girl and she needed to wear a dress. every. single. day. and even better? it needed to be a PINK dress. so I dont think your DD is doing it to drive you crazy, I think she is establishing her gender by wanting to wear dresses. I don't really have a suggestion, except maybe invest in some warm tights? fortunately SD went through this during the summer, and by fall/ winter time she resigned to wearing leggings under the dresses. perhaps invest in some pretty headbands and bows as well?
Re: felles...
Just to add to that, my DD wears dresses because they are more comfortable for than shorts or pants.
Thanks, ladies.
holly, I think you (and your therapist) are totally right. DD has even said stuff like "those are for boys" and "those aren't for me."
I picked up a couple pairs of tights and leggings, so I'm hoping we can sell her on those. I also went to Hobby Lobby and bought a bunch of pink beads and we've made a couple bracelets and necklaces.
We'll keep trying stuff!
