I gave birth two weeks ago and me and my boyfriend are the kind of couple that can't keep there hands to ourselves and today we had sex vaginaly. Im sorry about tmi. I gave birth only two weeks ago, is it bad? What will happend? I'm a first time mom btw. Why can't we have inter coarse until the 40 days? I wasn't bleeding at all and I feel fine.

They give a 6 week delay because most of the trauma is internal and you can't see it.  Just because it's not bleeding doesn't mean it's healed.  You can still get an infection from intercourse because your wounds are still fresh.  You can also cause damage.

they tell you 6 weeks for a reason, girl. you may feel fine and may even be running around just fine, but the healing is mostly internal. your uterus and other parts are still not healed yet. plus, if you got pregnant again at this point, it could be really damaging and unhealthy for your body. i'm surprised, i'm not that much older than you (i'm 22 and between a newborn and healing after my delivery, the last thing i want to do is have sex with my husband LOL).

FWIW, my OB has always told me that we could resume intercourse once the bleeding has stopped, but since we don't discuss birth control until the 6 week visit, he suggests (strongly recommends) using a condom.  

This- I hope you used protection!!! The weeks right after you give birth are your most fertile (don't ask me why..a cruel joke maybe?). I was also told that we could resume sex once the bleeding stopped, and I personally only bled for 3 days after giving birth, but I wasn't confident enough to have sex again until the 6 week mark. 

Edited to add- If you just had sex yesterday, and it as unprotected- get plan B (if your beliefs allow). You have 72 hours after intercourse I believe but the longer you wait the less effective it can be.
