F/U: Layoffs at work

So my husband was not only NOT laid off, but he's the only person getting PROMOTED due to our downsizing!! His coworker was laid off and he's moving into her position and kind of still doing what he's doing all in one. He'll supervise more people than he does now, too. I can't say how proud of him I am!
