Los that sleep in a crib...

DD is STTN pretty much around 9pm to 6am and sleeps in her RnP in our room. She doesn't sleep good laying flat in her back so I'm hesitant to stop using the RnP yet. My plan is to put the RnP in her room for a lil to help her get used to her room then move her to her crib. My only concern is when she wakes up around 6amafter that feeding she immediately falls back asleep for another 3 to 4 hours. right now i hold her for about 15 to 20 min then put her in her RnP and have never had any issues with her spitting up. so my question is what do you do with your LOs after a middle of the night feeding since they should sit up for about a half hour after feedings? Should i still consider that 6am feeding a middle of the night feeding since she always goes back to sleep after that even tho she is sleeping 8 hours before? maybe i should wait to put her in her crib yet til she is sleeping longer and when she wakes up and isnt going right back to sleep after feeding. know I might have to prop her mattress up if she still won't sleep flat but I really dont know how I feel about that.

  • I never have my DD sitting up for 30 minutes after a feeding and she is just fine.

  • The Ped never said she has reflux but she is uncomfortable laying flat and spits up if I don't keep her upright for a lil after feedings. It's not horrible but it's enough that she will only sleep in her RnP...started in a bassinet but wouldn't sleep.

  • We hold DD upright for 20 min after feeding in the armchair in our bedroom, then put her back in her crib (which is also in our room). Babies' night sleep should be longer than 8 hours, so yes, I would consider the 6 am feeding a MOTN one if you can. We treat the 5 am one that way.
