Holy crap I go here!  I figured while I'm strapped to a pump I might as well play bump catch up.

i am right at the beginning!  Raylan is not even two weeks old.  We are still figuring each other out, still working on BFing...but more in love every day.

our big challenge is feeding, there is huge improvement since the tongue clipping and I'm starting to see BFing as a viable option.  Right now though it is BFing with supplemented pumped milk...and the occasional ounce or two of formula every few days I get behind.  It has been so much more work than I thought it would be. 

I don't handle hearing about stillbirths well...it just breaks my heart every single time.

this week we are still just focused on getting used to life as a family of three (at home).  I have had one breakdown about how we should have his brother here too...but most of the time I am too caught up in Raylan to focus on it, and for right now I'm ok with that.  I know how lucky I am to have this time nada just trying to soak it up.

Where are you in your PAL journey?   Gabriel is 8 months and some odd weeks old.

 

What are some PAL challenges you have faced recently?  Still dealing with seperation anxiety...And the only place I go without him is the potty.  That's a lie, he tends to be on my lap for potty time 

 

QOTW: How do you handle it when you hear about the loss of a LO who was so close in age to your child(ren)?  It breaks my heart, but I try and help, although I know that isn't really possible.  I want to be able to use this pain for good and the only way I can do that is to help others so...I try and help.

 

Open Topic. What is on your mind this week?  Money...with me quitting and being a SAHM it is a bit of a stretch and my laptop broke and we need christmas 2 bday parties with in a month of each other and halloween costumes.  Oi!!!!!

 Where are you in your PAL journey? Zachary is almost 8 months old! :')  What are some PAL challenges you have faced recently? He is a teething monster right now! Poor guy! Tooth #3 came in so fast last weekend but tooth #4, while it is so close to breaking through, it's taking it's sweet a$$ time of it. No sleep for us for almost a week! Also, now that he has a top tooth, he keeps grinding his teeth. The sound is driving me crazy!  QOTW: How do you handle it when you hear about the loss of a LO who was so close in age to your child(ren)? Anytime I hear that someone has lost a child, it breaks my heart! When the child is so close in age to Zachary, it really hits home. I get so paranoid with listening to him breath and I can't sleep. I just toss and turn. During the day, I just hug and kiss him as much as I can.   Open Topic. What is on your mind this week? MH has been on afternoon shift this week, so that is a huge improvement from the midnight shift he has been on. Yay! I have also been getting really excited for Halloween! I will be having a party for a bunch of babies on the 30th! Can't wait!
