Update on me: My beta is 12/12....crossing fingers and toes
I am a campus recruiter. I enjoy what I do - just have been doing it for several years, so would welcome an opportunity to try something else. But also don't want to leave my company...and with the economy the way it is...I think i'll be doing this for a few more.
After 2 rounds of IVF & 2 rounds of FET, we were blessed with identical twin girls!
I am a social worker. I am not a huge fan of my job, but my job is very secure so I will be sticking with it for a little while longer.
Update: I went in for my 3rd follie check today and I am almost done stimming!

QOTD: I'm a sales analyst. I guess I like it most of the time. I get to work from home and the pay/benefits are good, so I can't complain too much. Although I travel more than I'd like to.
Update: I had another US today. The nurse was guessing that I'd get 4-6 mature eggs at retrieval. I'm guessing that I'll trigger tomorrow or Saturday. I'm a little disappointed in that egg estimation, so I'm clinging to the hope that these eggies are of a higher quality than the eggies I've gotten before.

I am a forensic biologist, and love what I do. At times the job is so rewarding, but sometimes the stories I read are so heartbreaking.
no real update, beta's are next week, and I can't wait.
QOTD: I am an executive assistant/event planner for a large trade association/lobbying group. My degree is in political science and I worked at my state capitol for 5 years before I moved to the private sector. I really enjoy what I do and am grateful to not have to worry about my job every few years due to election outcomes.
Update: I have another follie check this afternoon - keeping my fingers crossed that my 8 follicles still look good.

QOTD: I'm a QA Manager at a biotech company. I love the people I work with and overall I enjoy the work I do. I've been a total slacker lately though and I feel guilty. :-(
QOTD: I am a paralegal in a small law firm (7 attys.). I usually like what I do but lately I am bored. My contingency plan if I continue to be childless is law school. I need something to keep myself going. My job pays okay for this area of the country and my is realitvely secure so at this time, in our country's current recession, I am thankful to have it. The upside is that since is it small I can come and go as I need to for all this fertility stuff.
Congratulations to all the BFP! Hopefully we can keep the trend going into 2009!
Update: I had my Lupron Depot last night. Hopefully it'll suppress those little ovary bastards so I can start stims in eary January
I am an accountant. I like what I do, but I not where I work. Although they are very lenient with taking time off for appointments and stuff, I would like to be somewhere else.
Update: I am looking into getting a second opinion, maybe from Cornell. Thanks for all of your well wishes.

I'm a Freelance TV editor. I'm currently editing Food Network shows. I like what I do, its very creative
UPDATE- I can be moved to the on BCP's list as I start them tomorrow. I'm so excited to FINALLY be moving forward.QOTD: I manage customer service and inside sales for a company who specializes in packaging and labels for the gourmet food and candy industry. I love my job for the most part. I like almost everyone I work with and my commute is only 5 minutes! DH and I met at work (he's still here too), so if it weren't for this job I'd not met him.
UPDATE: I went in for my suppression check yesterday and got the green light to start stims tonight! I go in for my first u/s on Sunday.

QOTD: I am VP marketing at a fast-growing company run by my DH (we own it too). Very stressful at times, but I love it, too, and could never work for someone else again!
Update: Back from ET, we transferred a grade one 8-cell, grade one 6-cell, and grade two 4-cell.
Off to rest and watch movies!

I'm a scientist. ?I usually like the research I'm doing. ?But some days are better than others. ?I really love the flexibility. ?I can jet away for appointments and noone gives a crap. ?In many ways I'm my own boss.
?Update: ?stim check #2 this morning showed 16 follies on the left and 6 on the right. ?Still feeling positive about this. ?
I teach speech & communication classes at a community college. I enjoy it most days. The semester is almost over, so right now I am not enjoying hearing student's excuses for not having work done.

I am a Speech Pathologist. I work at a private school with children aged 7-21 with special needs. I love my job. I feel fortunate to work at such a great school with such great kids.
Update: Waiting to get my period (probably next week) and then starting IVF 1.5. Should be on BCP's by next weekend unless miraculously I got a break cycle BFP.
Hi everyone! Duke's - thanks for taking me off the BFP list. Now I can be added to the preparing for FET list, b/c I'm starting my BCPs tonight for my first FET cycle!
I'm in education...I work at an early childhood readiness agency. I train teachers and administrate our state's 4K program. We provide funds for at-risk 4 year olds to attend private child development programs. I taught kindergarten for 7 years and this job is a great fit for me now because I don't have to be in the classroom everyday but I get to use my knowledge of early childhood. It's also really flexible so that helps when I have to take time off for IVF!
QOTD - Right now I am a bartender. I used to manage restaurants, but the 70 hour work week would not work with raising a family. So I stopped and started bartender because night hours would have been perfect. I was supposed to bartend until the kids started school and H and myself were going to open a restaurant together...
6 years later I am still bartending and close to all our saving is gone because of IVF and meds. So do I like it - it is okay but I thought I would only be doing it for about 4 -5 years not 6 plus.

After 7 years trying to concieve, 3 failed IUIs and 2 failed IVFs, my third IVF was a success!
My Christmas baby turned into a turkey bird! Dillon Richard was born at 34 weeks, 5 days on November 28, 2009 after 10 weeks on bedrest for preeclampsia.

I am a 4th grade teacher. For the most part I love my job, this week has been tough, but not all weeks are like this.
Update: I have another u/s tomorrow to check the heart beat and measure the baby. I am crossing all that I have for a real miracle.
I am a high school guidance counselor and I love my job.

QOTD: I am a preschool teacher. ?I like my job. ?The people I work with and the kids are great. ?However, I'm not satisfied with this as a career. ?I have applied to nursing programs for the fall. I found out that colleges are offering accelerated nursing programs for people who already have a BS or BA. ?I was so excited to figure this out!

Update: ?I have been stimming since Sat. ?I had my first follie check yesterday and it went well. ?I have another one tomorrow! I love doing IVF because I feel like I can actually do something about my infertility. ?Does anyone else feel this way? ?Maybe I'm weird

QOTD: I have a degree in political science however I couldn't find a job in my field so currently I am an analyst for Enterprise Rent A Car, its a job so I can't complain in this economy and I have flexibility with my schedule.
I am on to IVF#2 next month if all works out well with my blood tests I had done today and I will be starting accupuncture tomorrow
Well today just confirmed what I've known since Sunday - IVF #1 was BFFN. Our wtf appt will be in a few weeks and I'm guessing our FET will be in Feb. or so.
I just took a hot bubble bath and had 3 glasses of wine.
I'm actually doing ok today - mostly because we've been convinced it was BFN since hpts on Sunday and Monday. I was hysterical then, but it seems to be getting better.
QOTD: I am a Pre-K teacher and love it! I love the children, there is nothing like watching their eyes light up with every new thing I introduce to them. But they are still children, and we have rough days too....today was one of them! I also really enjoy the people I work with, they are like family. I have been their 8yrs and their is talk of layoffs. I would be devastated to leave.
Update: Well I wish I had an update, but nope I'm still sitting here waiting until we get the green light for our next cycle

After 4yrs, 5 IUI's, 2 IVF's, 2 FET's, PGD, and 5 losses our little miracle is finally here!
My update:
IVF #4 do-over (not calling it IVF #5 since we never got very far into stims) was delayed a few times due to cysts. We are FINALLY starting stims this Saturday, 12/6. Hopefully this will be it!
