Baby Names

Can't seem to find a name...

I posted our list yesterday and received very helpful feedback, but we don't seem to love any of our choices. I'm getting nervous since my due date is soon!

I think the main problem is that DH and I have slightly different styles. When we put them together, our joined style becomes somewhat traditional, but not old lady, nothing too obscure, girly, sweet, and easy to pronounce.

We would love any inspiration! Any girl names you can think of that we might like? I think I've read every list on nameberry.com, lol!

Thank you!

  • I remember your list yesterday and it was a really great list.  DH and I had to compromise (he likes more modern/trendy and I like classic).  So we went with a classic fn even though it was more popular and a modern mn.

I chose Mia Caroline from your list because I felt like Mia was more modern and Caroline was classic.  Our #1 girl name now is Audrey and our #2 is Caroline.

We also like:  Camille/Camilla, Mallory, Kate, Lila, Cora, Cara, Evelyn, Olivia, Claire, Emma, Charlotte, Natalie, Carys, Maren, Anna, Margaret, Lauren, Lily, Juliet, Gabriella.

For middle names, Rose, Claire, June, Jane, Elizabeth, Elise, Louise

If we had another girl today, we would probably name her Audrey Caroline.

  • Would probably be helpful if you put a couple example of what you liked/ didn't like.

I looked to our backgrounds to find names - i.e Irish/English names, biblical names.  If you like traditional names you can view lists based on that.

What about flower names?  Lily, Rose, Violet.

Traditional names - Mary, Katharine, Charlotte, Caroline, Jane

    French Names - Camille, Genvieve

  • Just looked at your list.  I really like Lillian June.  You could call her Lilly for short. Lillian is not weird or hard to say but at the same time not uber popular. June is in style now - but still traditional.  I really like it!

  • Thank you so much, everyone! These suggestions are great! I showed DH and we have found quite a few that we both like! :)
