My 8 week old squirmed out of her moby wrap today, and hit her head against our glass desk, making a pretty loud noise. After being a little stunned, she started crying.
We called the nurse, who asked us to check for vomiting, eyes dilated, and swelling of the forehead. I don't see any of this, but will be extra vigilant for a while.
Even though I'm reading and am told this kind of thing happens, I'm still freaking out. Anyone weigh in with any similar experience? Feel terrible.
Re: 8 week old bumped head
Oh and yesterday I smacked dd in the face while buckling her into the car seat. She didn't cry... I did.
Thanks for the reassurance; I think the sound when she made contact really freaked me out b/c it was loud, but maybe being a mom amplified that sound a little bit. Plus she's a small baby, and young, which made me paranoid to begin with.
Now I'm reading into every little noise, spit up, movement she makes =P Guess this comes with the mommyhood territory. She's my first, if you can't tell
