I emailed the bump gods...and they won't just change it for me, so I would have to start a whole new account.
But then my 200 posts would just go away. I know, 200 measly posts, but I worked hard to get them!
ETA: I want to change it because it is the beginning of my email address. Also, I chose it way back on The Knot, and I didn't know I would be participating on any boards or that anyone would every see it!

That is like 2.5 days of posts for me
Ditto Kerr...why do you want to change it?

Nobody would've known that without you just saying it. I think it's fine how it is but if you're not comfortable then change it, it's only 200 posts.
For privacy purposes mainly...it's the beginning of my email address. Also, I've used it for years, and chose it when I was on The Knot and didn't think anyone would see it.
I have mostly lurked to get a feel for the board, and am just now starting to feel more comfortable posting. It used to make me nervous to post, because I didn't want to post anything stupid!

True, true. I think I am just tired of it since I've had it for so long.
I changed mine for this same reason. My old SN was the beginning of my email address. I realized that I could be "found out" when my dad was google searching interracial weddings, and one of my posts on the knot came up.
When I started posting on this board, I changed my name. It occurred to me that not only my dad could read stuff (if he ever googled it again, I doubt he'd actually come here and stalk me, but he's weird, so who knows). Or if anyone (professional world, etc) ever googled my email address, these posts would come up. Paranoid? Maybe. But I prefer that no one, except DH, in real life read about my BD, EWCM and any other TMI info.
Valid point - hence why you should ALWAYS have a separate and clean email address for possible employers, references, etc.

Perhaps it is in my head...or from other boards...or perhaps just from certain posters, but I feel like those who have "newbie" status tend to get flamed a little bit more. And I hate to say that, and I am not complaining, but it has been my observation.
That is the only reason why I feel like post count matters. Being 200 closer to losing newbie it better than starting over. But I think that I will probably start over anyway.
That is good to know. I knew the majority of ladies on here are not like that, which is why I love TTGP and all you ladies so much... It is also why I am even considering changing my SN, because I know post count doesn't really matter here.
Lots of people I know have my email address (I've had it since high school), and like a PP said, if they google it, they would find all these posts. Call me crazy, but in the unlikely event that some random friend from high school googled me, I don't want them to find posts about my CM, haha.
