What are you all doing about eczema on your LO? What lotion/cream do you use? My LO has mild eczema at the crease of elbows and behind the knees. I've been applying aquaphor but doesn't seem to help much. Anyone use a special eczema cream?
My LO has eczema and I've been using Johnsons Natural lotion on him. He has it on his face, legs, and arms. I apply it twice a day and it's cleared up. So we didn't have to use anything special.

DS doesn't have Eczema but I do and I use Cerave lotion and it works wonders! I have tried other lotions and none of them compare to Cerave and every dermatologist I have been to always suggest this product. You should also try to use body wash on LO that has oatmeal in it or use Cetaphil cleanser...it's a soapless cleanser that won't dry out LO's skin.
I second the Cetaphil/CeraVe recommendation. For the eczema spots, I use Babyganics Bye Bye Dry. We've been using it for more than a week, and the patches aren't gone but are a lot softer. I am trying to start applying it several times thru the day.
My son had really bad eczema and I started bathing him using Cetaphil cleanser and the Cetaphil body lotion. It has since cleared up. I used aquaphor on the really dry parts. I put so much lotion and aquaphor on the poor kid that he was slippery lol.
I have been using coconut oil and it works SO well. I didn't feel right using Aquaphor on such a little one, especially on her face. The coconut oil worked overnight on one of the most inflamed patches, I couldn't believe it.
Also I've read recently that Cetaphil contains some objectionable ingredients so I am sticking with California Baby super sensitive baby wash.
LO has pretty bad eczema, we use vaseline after his bath & hydrocortisone when the flare ups are bad. He looks very shiny but it helps a lot. Tho the hydrocortsone needs to be used with doctor's supervision.
You might want to look into possible dietary causes (dairy, egg, gluten)... My son had eczema until I cut dairy and g,item out of our diets,,,it went away two weeks after removing the gluten - we had been dairy free for a few months.

Hey All! I have never posted just lurker but I really wanted to responde to this post! My DS has eczema on his face and BE SURE that you check the cream you are using to see if it has a steroid or alchol in it. If you are using a steroid just be aware that it causes the top layer of skin to thin and it will be very easy for your baby to sunburn. I did not know that and his little face got sunburned!!! It upset me so bad! I just wanted to share so you all were aware in case you did not already know so it doen't happen to you guys
