fighting for rsv shots

so my insurance co. is denying my preemies the rsv shot.  they were born just after 32 weeks and were breathing on their own however my baby girl was IUGR and particularly small for her gestational age. my peds office has been trying to appeal the denial etc. 

 

anything i can do to fight this myself ??  or is it a lost cause?  thanks ladies!!

Unless your babies have other specialists (pulmonology or cardio for example), I think you are doing everything you can.

my boys got denied too (31w'ers). They were on oxygen but got off their apnea monitors before the season started so the insurance said they are fine according to the AAP. My dr is appealing but also took our info for a group that helps with the cost or covers it if your insurance denies you. I'm not sure of the name or if it's state specific so you may ask your dr's office and see if they know of anything similar.
