Stitch still in?

My incision has been bothering me, and upon inspection, I found 2 stitches still in (5 months later) !! Should I freak out?

I would freak out, but I had staples and don't know much about stitches. If it's been bothering you, call your doctor.

If the stitches are on the outside of your body, I'd grab some peroxide, clean the area and snip them off so your body can finish absorbing the threads. If they're not infected, red or painful, they probably just had nowhere to go. I've had that happen with a couple of my sections - no biggie. 

 Of course, if that freaks you out, call your doctor. :-)
