I don't plan on potty training for probably another 6 months, but G refuses to be anywhere else but in the same room with me in the evenings which means she goes into the bathroom with me. A couple weeks ago, when I was finished, I started clapping for myself and saying, "yay, mommy peed on the potty." G also clapped. This has now become the routine and she has started to want to see what mommy did and watch it flush. On one hand, I feel like this will gear her up to potty train and get excited to do what mommy does. On the other hand, she's looking into the toilet....
Re: Am I scarring my child?
DD always follows me in the evenings. Lately, she's taken to bending down and watching me while repeatedly saying "peepee". Then she tries to wipe me.
If your child is scarred, I don't even want to know what my DD will become.
This is my siggy. Love it.

This is what I was thinking too. I thought that it was a part of potty training. Although, I really have no idea what I'm doing with potty training.
Not much. My blood pressure was acceptable on Monday, but my protein levels had grown slightly so we're still on the lookout for pre-e. Baby B wouldn't move in the u/s, but had a great hb and we could see her breathing. The tech said she sees that a lot right before labor. I also blood in my urine which the nurse said could be loss of mucus plug or my cervix dilating. I've also had A LOT of BH this weeks versus the past and big time increased pressure in my pelvis. So, a lot of circumstantial evidence that we don't have long, but nothing for sure. We have another appt tomorrow, so we'll see how things look. Either way, they'll be here in 22 days or less! :-)
This is my siggy. Love it.
DS tries to wipe me, too!!! He's scarring me!
