What a day

I posted some of this this morning but I think the bump ate my post since I don't see it anywhere. So A was great with sleep training the first two nights and then of course last night he was up from 4-4:50 am crying when I had to get up to start a three day stretch of 12 hour shifts. He finally fell asleep around 5 am and then I had to get him up at 5:45 because I had to leave for work. Work was crazy today- I think I sat down for 15 minutes all day and we ate lunch at 6 pm which was the first chance we had. 

Then we are having a huge storm here. There was so much traffic driving home. I have never driven in rain so heavy- you couldn't see a thing. The highways are all flooding. I get home and my road is closed because of flooding. So I can't get to my building. I had to park in the supermarket lot behind my complex (which is like a lake- I hope the water goes down by the morning). And I was soaked walking in to my building. I didn't get home until 8:30 pm and then had to put A to bed which is a late bedtime for him. Luckily he went down easily. Now I get to do it all again tomorrow- hopefully minus the 4 am wakeup and flooded roads!

But when I got home A was so excited to see me. He jumps up and down and waves his arms and smiles. And that makes my entire day even though the rest of it was crummy.
