The F word...

everytime my DD hears a train she starts saying what sounds like f'uck over and over and over again she started doing this a couple nights ago. I don't know what she's really trying to say but I need it to stop! lolol we try to correct her but she thinks it's funny, she literally says it like 50 times...ugh mommy problems.

Trust me when I say do not make a big deal out of it. The bigger deal you make the funnier it will be for her to say.

Yea that was my mistake at first it just caught me off guard! lol and then I figured out she was saying it in regards to the train...so now we just tell her no, train...I mean it is kind of funny but I'm not letting her know that. I just wish I knew what she was trying to say, lol

nope. she says truck all the time...it's clear as a bell (sounding) f'uck. ?!? I'm just teaching her that a train says choo choo and hopefully she'll forget about what she thinks it should be called...

Why is it a big deal, she might not be able to say the TRU in truck for a few years, developmentally it is hard.

Maybe just scream chooooo! chooooo! when you hear one and she'll join in with you? 

hahaha maybe it is chug, my kid is weird who knows where this came from, but yes we have started asking her what sound a train makes and doing the choooooooo choooooooooo which she seems to like...should make for a good story some day for her though lolol

My kid says cck for: trucks, cake, cookies, and something else I can't remember. It's awesome when she sees a blue truck and yells 'boo cck!!!!'

I wish we had this excuse. We got the other s word because she was actually saying the other s word. Her "Papa" (my FIL who is her total hero) slips and says it all the time when he's dropped something, stubbed something, etc. C started saying it for the longest time and would always repeat it over and over and over. We just kept ignoring it and it's finally gone. For now, at least. We somehow managed to get away with her never saying it in front of my very religious father. I hope we can keep the streak alive!

Was she in the car with someone when they got stuck by a train and said f.uck by chance? That could explain it too. Kids pick up the most random things.

I was wondering something like this, too (minus the getting hit by a train part, lol).  Could someone have slipped and said it when she wasn't with you guys?  The parrot effect in little kids is sooo unfortunate sometimes!  Or, have you asked her to say "chug," just in case that is what she's saying, like PP suggested she might be?  Maybe if that's what it is, start making a big deal about her saying "Chooo!" by maybe showing her how to "pull the whistle"?

Haha, oops, sorry!  I thought that seemed pretty weird, but I've seen stranger things on here, so you never know
