Is these certain cultural names? Both sound to me like names of aliens on a Sci-Fi movie....Sorry I know that probably sounds mean But I love Luciano!

Helio is the only one I'm familiar with due to Mr Castroneves, so that gets my vote! Reminds me of Helios, the sun god.

Haha. Helio is Spanish (for Helios - Greek) and Elio is the Italian form. I'm just not sure which spelling I like best. Middle name is Alonso (my maiden name). I don't think I've seen them anywhere except for Helio Castroneves, the race car driver.

I know Elio is a legit name, but it seems incomplete to me.  Also, my computer keeps changing it to Eliot.

I have a cousin named Elio. I like it. FWIW, he has a brother named Lino, and a brother in law named Pierro.

I like Elio better but I love Luciano. Do you mind telling me how people pronounce Luciano. I know Lucia can be pronounced Lu-see-ah and Lu-chi-ah so I assume Luciano is pronounced Lu-see-ano or Lu-chi-ano. Sorry for diverting your question I love your names though

Elio is DH's middle name, after his nonno. I really like it. It's simple but not frequently used.

Thanks, thristov! Actually, we say Lu-see-ano. The one Italian guy we knows says it the Italian way as does our Leap Frog Scout dog. It's really cute!
