Does anyone know of an insurance company that will insure a newborn? I have been all over the place searching. Through my employer it will cost me $620 a month to add the baby to my insurance, so that is not an option. I make too much to get state aid, too... so there goes that.
I'm just so worried. I don't know what to do because I know my baby will need to see a doctor but I can't seem to find anything. Every insurance company I have talked to won't insure my baby until he is a year old. I can't wait that long to insure him.
Re: Joliet area first time Mommy to Be has an insurance question
I have never heard of an insurance company not insuring a baby, but then again, I don't know much about insurance companies.
If you are unable to get insurance for LO I would talk with a pedi office, they might work with you on an out of pocket cost for well baby visits. Obviously that won't help if you have to go to the emergency room or buy prescriptions, but it's definitely worth looking in to, and well baby visits are very important so that your baby's growth is recorded and he/she gets fully vaccinated.
