I am posting this for a friend who is not on the Bump but I thought you guys could help answer this, as I am of no help since my kids did not climb out of bed.
My BFF"s dd who is almost 2 years old is a climber, and has figured out how to climb out of her crib. The put her in a sleep sack and for a while that prevented her from climbing, but she has now figure out how to get out of the crib with the sleep sack on, so they need to figure something else out.
They are looking for any kind of suggestions, they figure the will put her mattress on the floor however, she can climb baby gates as well, so even gating her in her room at night won't keep her safe.
Suggestions?
Re: Help...Climber
What about putting one of the door knob covers on the inside knob in her room and closing the door at night? My sister does this for her 3 year who is in a day bed. Works great, if she gets out of bed she can't get out of her room.
Her daughter has figured out the doorknob covers...that was my suggestion, but she quickly told me that she has figured them out
As far as putting the lock on the outside, I will ask her about that one, the issue for them is that they are in a rental home, so they need to do the least amount of damage to the house as possible...thanks for the suggestion though.
How about one of those tents that go over the cribs?
