Sad Mommy morning

DS has been waking up at 4:30 a.m. for the past week, I knew it was probably from teething, well, he had his 9 month appointment today and his molars are coming in. So that, combined with a flu shot, another shot, and a finger prick lead test, and I had one very unhappy baby by 10 a.m., and then I had to drop him off at daycare:( Just feeling very sad, I know he is fine, but it was a rough morning on Mom, too. And I'm exhausted.

In other good news, he is growing great, is on all table foods, has 8 teeth, is standing and almost walking, and is so tall he got the go-ahead to be moved to a rear-facing convertible carseat (he's actually almost 10 months, his appointment was just late). Go DS!!!

Boo!! Then yay!! lol. I feel you 100%. DS either has strep or HFM (waiting for throat cultures to come back), and I was home with him yesterday. DH is home with him today, and I'm so sad I can't be there for him!  On the plus side, being sick has made him super cuddly, and I love just relaxing with him on the couch, when he's usually so active.

Sorry you guys had a rough day. As far as the car seat, this has been mentioned recently on TB, but the aap recommends car seat rear facing for 2 years. It protects baby from internal decapitation in a crash. You may want to consider keeping it rear facing.

Way to grow! 8 teeth?! Mine only has 6 and I thought that was a lot. Probably at daycare he is playing and distracted from feeling bad :sad face:

I too would consider keeping him RF.  hope he sleeps well tonight for you!

Yes, rear-facing. I say rear-facing in my post. We are moving him from rear-facing INFANT seat, to rear-facing convertible seat. Yep, I keep my kids rear-facing til age 2!
