I am 32 weeks and change. I was told by my radiology department that after 32 weeks it's too late to do an elective 3D ultrasound because the baby is very likely head down, and getting into position for birth. I googled it, and it can be done after 32 weeks, it just isn't as likely to come up with a better picture or something...
Has anyone had an elective 3D ultrasound done later than 32 weeks and have a good outcome? Thanks in advance!
Re: 3D ultrasound question
Hi! I think you'll be OK at 32 weeks, that's the borderline of a good viewing and unpredictable viewing though - so huuuurry! I found this calendar to be super helpful:

We did ours at 27 weeks and it turned out pretty good, so the calendar seems accurate so far??
Good luck and enjoy the experience! I had a ton of friends coming up to me after seeing my 3D/4D ultrasound and said they wished they had done it too when they were pregnant. Some of them didn't because their friends had told them it was $200+.. but there are places that do it for $80-$115 which is pretty reasonable. Have fun!
Thanks!
The place that would be doing it charges less than $200. I have been measuring behind in my three ultrasounds that I've had already, so maybe they'll get a good view? I'll have to call them again and ask more in depth questions.
