I'm divided on this one- sometimes I love it with every fiber of my being and sometimes well I downright dislike it. DD is the best thing to ever happen to me but boy oh boy motherhood can be challenging. How about you ladies?
I like being a mom. I don't have to love every second of every day, nor do I have to enjoy tantrums, illnesses, urine/poop/barf in/on my (fill in blank). It's a hard job for sure, and if someone tells you it's easy they are a) lying, b) drunk c) other. The downsides don't diminish my liking & enjoying my role as a mom.

DS's father told me the other day that parenting was a piece of cake.
Maybe that's because he only has him every other weekend, because it gets pretty rough on this side! sheesh

But I have a relatively easy, independent kid and a very helpful spouse. I have been able to keep doing the things I enjoy and I don't feel that I've lost any part of myself since I became a mom.
If I had a high-needs child or less of a support system, I'm sure my answer would be much different.
I spent my whole life trying to figure out something I am good at that is worth my while. I think I found my calling. Not only in being a mother, but in teaching children. I definitely love being a mother. There are moments, which I am sure everyone has, but I couldn't see myself anywhere else!
Livian Elizabeth and Alayna Marjorie! On their way to 3!
It's my hardest role yet. There are times when I don't want to be a mom on a particular day. Overall, I'm happy, love the role and still melt w/ my LO's call me mommy.

There are some days that go smoothly and I love it. There are some days that are really rough and I feel like I'm at the end of my rope. Being a SAHM definitely has it's perks and drawbacks. And I feel like there is an enormous pressure to do everything right to raise a good child and give her a great start to education and life in general. I have a lot of self doubt and I don't have a lot of local support so it makes it that much harder. But Z and I are figuring things out one day at a time. I just need to work on managing the stress!
Re: Do you ladies enjoy your role as a mom?
It's the hardest thing ever. And the best. There are moments I don't really enjoy, days when I've had enough, times when I need a break...
But overall I enjoy it and I'm always finding new things to enjoy.
You described my feelings exactly.
I agree with all of this!

I absolutely enjoy it 99% of the time.

I couldn't have said this better. The one thing I have to work on is not feeling guilty when I am having one of the above mentioned "moments."
This for me too. I love being a mom, challenges and all.
I can't get the ticker to work, but I have two sons:
