Re: When to take out my Belly button ring?

  • I had to have it out for U/S's so I took it out at 12 weeks.

  • You can buy flexible plastic ones that you won't need to remove. I think I got my from amazon.

  • With DS I never took it out. I had planned on taking it out when it started getting uncomfortable and stretching but it never did :] like PP mentioned they do sell the pregnancy ring but I never needed one of those either.

  • I will take mine out when I get bigger. I think I will go without, and not buy those plastic ones. I don't think the hole is going to close. haha

  • My belly had been pierced for 3 years when I was pregnant with DD and I took mine out at 5 mo. and wasn't able to get it back in.  Of course that was 13 years ago before they had those flexible things that are made for pregnant bellies!  I would invest in one of those if you really don't want the hole to close...just in case.

  • Thanks so much everyone, I had no idea they made plastic belly rings to use while pregnant.

Really? I thought that the hole stretched out, so it wouldn't close.... That is crazy! Did your hole stretch?

  • You don't have to take it out.  I never had to take it out for ultrasounds either.  I bought one of these when I was pregnant with my first.  Read about it in a magazine.
