Help me with lo's baby book - current events

If there's already a post like this just direct me to it. If not, help me out pretty please. I'm making my own book from scratch so if you share whatever you've put in your lo's book it'll be very helpful. TIA :)

    You could talk about the Olympics and the presidential election.  I bet at the end of the year too that news stations will run some 'big news of 2012' articles that should help you.

    You could also mention some major events in your family that happened.  Obviously your LO was born, but did anyone die?  Get married?  Graduate?
