Empty sac at 5 wks 2 days - odds?

I have my second ultrasound (6wks2days) tomorrow and I'm really nervous.  Last week at 5 weeks 2 days I had an ultrasound for my OHSS and the tech was able to see the gestational sac but no yolk sac and no fetal pole.  They told me this was normal, but I'm really nervous that I won't see anything tomorrow.  The sac was measuring 5 weeks, 3 days.  Anyone else have an ultrasound that early and everything turned out okay?

Me:33 DH:36 DX: Unexplained IF
3 cylce Clomid BFN
1 cycle unmedicated IUI
3 cycle IUI w/Clomid BFN
IVF #1 Jun/Jul 2012 ER 7/16 12R, 9F
ET 7/21 one grade AA blast transferred, 7 frosties
7/30 Beta#1 263 8/1 Beta#2 698
8/8 u/s (for OHSS) showed empty gestational sac
8/15 u/s (6 wks 2 days) little bean with a heart rate of 122!
8/30 u/s (8 wks 3 days) - last appointment with my RE. Heartbeat 177, measuring 8 wks 4 days

    All I saw was a sac as well at my 1st u/s which was 5W3D. When I went in at 5W6D due to some spotting I saw a yolk sac and the very beginning of a heartbeat.

    DX: MFI - less than 1 million sperm, 26% motility
    DH put on anastrozole to increase counts
    June/July 2011 100 mg Clomid + TS IUI#1 & IUI 2 - BFN :-(
    Forced break due to DH getting spinal surgery in August 2011
    IVF - January 2012: BFN
    FET in April 2012 - BFP at 6dp5dt! Beta #1 at 9dp5dt: 82.5, Beta #2 at 12dp5dt: 352 Beta #3 at 19dp5dt: 6000, saw heartbeat and one little bean at 5W6D!
    After nearly 3 years of waiting our LO was born December 18th 2012!

    I went in at 5w2d as well. They saw the gestational sac & were pretty sure they saw the yolk-but not 100%. I had to come back in 2 days later where there was a clear shot of the yolk. At my next appt 6w2d, I had a hb of 122.


    04/07/11- PCOS Diagnosis w/GYN. Put on Metformin (1500 mgs)
    04/25/11- 1st consultation with RE (Confirmed PCOS & Anovulation)
    05/09/11-HSG-All clear! 05/13/11-SA-Normal. Found out on 2/14/12, low Morph (1%).
    06/17/11-10 days of Clomid (100, 150) No response.
    07/10/11-03/20/12- 5 Injectable (Follistim) IUI cycles; 4 BFN, 1 C/P. (stims ranged from 11 days to 25 days)
    05/28/12-Diagnosed with Hypothyroidism. 75 mcg Synthroid.

    IVF with ICSI in June/July 2013 = BFP!. Beta # 1 = 123. Beta # 2 = 252. Due March 25th. Baby boy arrived March 27, 2013!

    FET #1 - 10/4/14 = BFP!! Beta #1 = 179. Beta # 2 = 499. Due June 22nd.

    I just saw a sac at 5w2d,it is just so early. A week later there was a hb so try not to worry. Good luck tomorrow!

    At 5 weeks and 2 day all we saw was a sac, no pole. At 7 weeks there was a HB! GL!

    All I saw on my 5w2d u/s was a sac. I didnt see a yolk sack or fetal pole in there. When we went back the following week it was more obvious there was something in there and we had a HB but it was not measurable but it was confirmed it was there. At 7w2d we were able to measure the HB. GL and try not to freak, its totally normal to see what you saw that early. Things change so quickly in there!

    At 5w4d we saw a gest sac and one yolk sac --- but check my ticker :) At 6w3d, whadayaknow there's two yolk sacs with heartbeats!

    Just wanted to update you all about my ultrasound this morning.  We saw the yolk sac and a really strong heartbeat.  Everything looks great.  Thanks for all your comments.

    At 5w4d I had an ultrasound and saw a gestational sac and yolk sac, but no fetal pole.  My RE said it was what she expected, so as far as no fetal pole, it sounds like that's normal for where you are.  For yolk sac, I don't know as much about that part, but 5w2d seems pretty early to me.  Hopefully you'll see what you need to see soon.
