You might be able to request certain aspects of this. I saw this video before my scheduled cesarean last year and had asked about it. Dr wasn't supportive, but ended up keeping my arms free and delaying cord clamping.

Did your doctor tell you why he/she didn't support it? I don't really see too many risks in doing something like this if it were just done quickly and you got to hold the baby for a minute or so.
I had my third c-section in May. A lot of these things were offered to me but I didn't feel the need for them. They weren't important to me. I felt fine this time but with my second c-section I felt horrible. I just wanted them to hurry up and get me out of the OR asap in case I felt bad again.

My arms weren't strapped down during my c/s with DS, I was able to hold him within a few minutes of birth, had he not had difficulty breathing he never would have been taken from me (ended up in the nursery for about 2 hours until he stabilized) and I would have been able to do skin-to-skin & attempt to BF within ~30 minutes of birth. I didn't ask about delayed cord clamping.

my c section wasn't terrible (dad got ds right away, i wasn't strapped down, etc), but nothing like this.
i sobbed..that was awesome. what a great experience for the family.
