They're in every gas station and almost all of them are even drive thrus! Why do I have to go to the casino for decent donuts?

East coast chain gone wild? For the same reason there are Starbucks shops in every grocery store, multiple in the airport, and at least one on every block in Seattle.

No one ever brought you KK from the big city? In HS my teacher used to bring it to us to eat in homeroom. Best teacher ever!

 

The..big ci--do you mean...New York? Giiiiiirrrrrl,  I pretty much live on the Hudson and could SWIM to NY if I wanted to. And I can say...without a doubt...no one in NY is eating KK. Mofos are eating DD. 

From 1996-1999 KK was "the bomb" to use 90s terminology. They opened up in Manhattan and it was insanely popular. People literally would go into the city from NJ and CT just to pick up donuts...I guess they're closing down in the north. I think I read a WSJ article a/b how they were in trouble.

It took me like 10 trips to teach my H how to order there. It reminds me of the "Soup Nazi's" restaurant.

I don't think there are any KK's or DD's in Minnesota.  All the ones that I knew of are gone now...  If I want a donut I have to go to Holiday gas station or a grocery store... so I just don't.

Yep, one on the way to my park & ride and another in my office building... so I have to fight the urge to stop two different times on my commute in... and then for the rest of the day while I'm at work.  

But they don't have donuts.  ...wait I think they sometimes have the "old fashioned donuts" that aren't very good.  They don't have the traditional, fluffy glazed donut and I know they aren't made fresh.
