email alerts for message boards?

I seem to remember at one point getting email alerts when a message board I was watching would get a new post. I no longer get these, and I cannot for the life of me figure out how to sign up again.

 Or perhaps I'm just remembering wrong, and this was never an option at all. 

 One more thing: Is My Account at the type right of the page supposed to be useful for anything? I sometimes click on it thinking it'll take me to my My Bump page, but instead it almost looks like a signup page, asking me to update my info and giving me a "Congratulations! Now that you're a member..." message. I can't see what the purpose of this page is, other than to update info if it changes.
