question if you were low on iron after delivery

when i got my bloodwork after delivery i was low on iron. i was just wondering if they will recheck my iron levels at my six week appointment or if it is something that i will need to request.

I was low on iron too , my dr put on some iron supplement ...now waiting for my six week app. too.

I became severely anemic and needed a blood transfusion while in the hospital because of how much blood I lost during delivery.  I've been on iron ever since, and while they did check my hemoglobin level when I went in to the doctor about a week post partum for some other issues I was having, they told me they will do a full blood panel at my 6 week check up.

I bled pretty bad and ended up needing a transfusion and when i left they told me I would have to take iron supplements for at least 6 months until my levels were back to normal.

I lost a lot of blood during delivery and they prescribed me 3 months of iron pills, and they did check my iron at my 3 week check up (my only check up PP)
