We see him! (Ok- i've only seen him once...) He's our 4th Uro and so far, our favorite! The negative- we did have to wait 3 hours to see him. BUT, then he and his fellow spent about 30 minutes with us, which I was surprised about. I think that's more time than all our other Uro's combined have spent with us. I really liked his demeanor. He also seems extremely knowledgeable on male IF. He's been doing it for decades.

Both he and his fellow seemed genuinely interested in our case and actually want to try some news things. He's given us some hope. The other 3 Uro's we've had have just been like- ah, not much we can do. But Dr. L says let's keep going!

He's got an in-house lab for all of the SA's, so that they are done according to his standards. So if you can tolerate the wait, he's the best uro in town for male IF. Maybe try to make an early morning appt? Good luck! :)

  • Hey Reb :)  We saw him a couple years ago, and I have another friend who was an HFI patient who's DH went to him.  He's a little quirky, but we really liked him.  I second that the wait was a bit long, but we really felt taken care of when we saw him.  Since MH didn't require tx, I can't say much for that side of things.  He seems to be well liked and recommended around here.  Wishing you a great appt on the 24th!

Thanks ladies!  We have a 9:30, so hopefully we won't wait too long.  I feel much better after reading your posts!  Thanks again...

  • No advice, but I want to wish you good luck!  Sounds like you, well DH, is seeing someone good.

And I think we should all have a Houston GTG!

  • He's our uro and we love him, he found sperm for us after we were told there were none and we should just adopt. He was our second opinion and just a formality before we moved on to DS or adoption but we are so glad we went to him!

He truly goes above and beyond, called and checked on H after his biopsy and squeezed us in so he can check on H the day after his biopsy bc we were leaving to go back to Arkansas, we lived there at the time.

     Good luck!
