Downingtown OB Recs

Hi Gals,

 I recently moved to the Downingtown area and need recommendations for a new OB.  Anyone have a doctor or a practice they highly recommend?

 Wouldn't mind taking recommendations for family care docs, dentists, hair dressers too!  :-)

Welcome to the area! I go to Great Valley OB-GYN. They seem to be highly recommended if you search them on there. Its my first pregnancy and I haven't had my first prenatal appt, but I've been going there for years for my annual checkups. If I can figure out how to send you a PM, I can try to offer you some other local info...

Dr. Melissa Delaney in West Chester.  She is AMAZING and her office is right next to the hospital.  I switched to her practice during my first pregnancy, and I'm so glad that I did.  It's just her and her NP Jackie Mowday so they know you very well by the time you deliver.  I had food poisoning during pregnancy and post partum hemorrhaging 2x and Dr. Delaney was brilliant.  She saved my fertility.  Her bedside manner is incredibly sweet and loving and she is always up to date on current studies and research so she is a very reliable resource.  

 

As for my general physician, I see Dr. Christine Tressel of West Chester Family Practice.  She is also wonderful.  For pediatricians we go to Chester County Pediatrics and I highly recommend Dr. Cooper.  He was my pediatrician and is also AMAZING.

Welcome to the neighborhood.  I highly recommend Chester County OBGYN and Dr. Mansfield specifically if you are not opposed to a male doctor.  They have offices in Downingtown, West Chester, and Lionville and are connected to Chester County Hospital in West Chester.
