Results from First Appointment

My doctor called me yesterday with the blood test results from my first appointment last Friday.  I'm Rh negative which means I get a few extra shots later in pregnancy and during delivery.  Woo - not! I'm not a shot/needle person, but I guess I better get used to it.  LOL.

And I had bacteria in my urine so I had to pick up a prescription last night.  The pills taste horrible and it's all I can do to keep them down.  I was confused as I've had no symptoms other than having to pee a lot which is also a pregnancy symptom.  My nurse said bladder infections are common during pregnancy and some times you don't have symptoms.  

 

Any one else Rh negative or having other issues like a bladder infection?

I am RH negative, my mom has reminded me like 5 times since I told her that we were prego.  I am crossing my fingers that my husband is RH negative as well, but I dought that I will be that lucky. I hate needles I still feel like I am going to cry every time I get a shot.

I'm RH negative and had to get the Rhogam shot when I was pregnant with DD. It wasn't a big deal. I can't remember when they gave it to me exactly, but it was in the third trimester. I think I got another shot either during labor or after I had her, but I can't remember. By then I was so enamored with my baby I didn't pay any attention to what they did to me!

FWIW, I was scared of needles before my first pregnancy, but after all the blood draws and other stuff you go through, it became less of a big deal to me!

I am RH- and DH is RH+, so I had the shot sometime in 3rd tri, and I think after she was born. DD ended up being RH+, so it's a good thing I did!

It really wasn't that traumatic. Like the PP said, I don't even remember getting the second shot, b/c I was so preoccupied with my newborn!

I'm hoping DH is Rh negative, but I doubt he is.  And I hope my needle issue will go away with this pregnancy.  I'm okay as long as I don't watch them.  I was just kind of bummed when they called yesterday.  On the upside, all the other tests they did with my blood came out great!

I am RH- and DH is RH+ so I will get the Rhogam shot.  I had to get it when I mc-ed last time.  They stuck me in the butt so that might alleviate the "have to see it" factor of the shot.  Just remember why you're getting it - to protect your baby and future babies!

I'm RH- and DH is +. I had the shot after I spotted in the first trimester. I honestly don't remember if I got it any other time during pregnancy. I remember getting it after I delivered because DS is +. I hate needles too but you do get used to it after awhile.

I got it at 28ish weeks with my dd and they do it within 72 hrs of delivery.  I have also had it done with every m/c.  It's not a big deal.  Last time I got it in my arm, but I have had it in the butt too.
