No RSVP's

I've got 19 days till my baby shower and my mom just said that nobody has rsvp'd for my baby shower. :/ As of now almost all my friends are going out of town and my dad and his wife are going to her family reunion. So far the only people that will be there is my mom and my brother my 2 cousins and my husband's parents. I guess I'm slightly bummed. At least I'll have my family :)

    Summers can be a busy time of year... Has the host contacted those that have not responded?  You may find the turn out is greater than you think.

    That is a bummer. Is there a possibility that maybe some will just show up? I am sure whoever shows up that you will still enjoy the moment.

    I'm sorry, I'm confused. 

    So there are still 19 days until your shower, and you're just assuming that those that haven't RSVPed aren't coming?  How long ago did you send out these shower invites?

    Your shower is still almost 3 weeks out.  When was the RSVP deadline?  Don't feel bad, it seems like people sometimes just forget/put off RSVP'ing to showers.

    Once it's past your RSVP deadline or 1-2 weeks before the shower, I would ask your mom exactly who hasn't RSVP'ed and send them an e-mail.  You can just say that your mom is trying to get a head count for the shower.  That's what I did for my bridal shower and it was no big deal.  Sometimes people find it a little easier to respond back to an e-mail than the pick up the phone and call a possible stranger.

    I have about 3 days before mine and only 2 rsvps..both from family. You still have tons of time. Some people just don't rsvp.

    Don't worry about it. Your shower it 2.5 weeks away - invites should normally go out 3-4 weeks before the event. There is a lot of time for people to RSVP!

    What is the RSVP date?  Your hostess (your mom?) should be calling all of those that have not responded by the RSVP date.  Some people wait a couple of days and then call.  I seriously thing some people don't know what RSVP means.  How long ago did you send out invites?  It is best to send shower invites out 3-4 weeks before the event - otherwise people forget.  I'm sure there are others that plan to attend but it might be a good idea to call those that haven't RSVP'd.  If there wasn't an RSVP date on the invite then I would call people about a week before the shower.  Obviously you will need to know how many to have seating and food for.

    We got 3 RSVP's for our shower this last weekend and almost all of our friends and my dad's family just didn't show up. Didn't call. Still haven't mentioned anything. Kinda disappointing!

    The Shower date is 8/11 and the RSVP date is 8/3. We sent out invites 3 1/2 weeks prior to the shower date and we still have some straggler invites that will get sent out tomorrow. My  mom/hostess isn't really pressed about calling people that do not RSVP. She says "Whether it's family and friends or strictly just family we will still have a good time" Party!!! (she is a glass half full type person). My Husband on the other hand said WE will call people next week to see if they are coming or not just so we can have a heads up on how much food we need. I talked to a close girlfriend of mine and she said what a lot of you all are saying "People just don't RSVP'. So I guess I'm taking the 'Who cares' approch :) Thank for the responses
