Hey all! My name is Samantha. I have been lurking here since I found out I was pregnant, but after a loss earlier this year I was nervous to introduce myself. I have had several different logins but I always forget my information so hopefully this one sticks. This is my second girl and DH and I are so excited! You will be seeing more of me!

I've been lurking for a while, too. I had a loss right before this pregnancy and it was too nervewracking in the beginning. Totally understand where you're coming from. Your little girl is adorable!

This is going to sound stalkerish but I recognize you! I lurker on GP before I got pregnant with my first and started lurking on GPM after the split. I probably lurk more over there than I do here. It seems like such a close knit group I feel weird jumping in over there.

Can I ask . . . what split are you talking about?

Well there use to only be GP, but there was a lot of tension once some of the oldies got pregnant and had their babies because there were a lot of PR and BR posts so they finally got the GPM board added so the boards split. It was a lot easier to keep up with everyone on one board but I definitely can see how it caused hurt feelings.

Gotcha. I didn't join til post-split (I think) . . . or if I was there doing it, it didn't phase me enough to make a lasting impression. 

I seriously can't get over how cute your little girl is and I LOVE that shirt! It reminds me of when my sister was born and my mom bought me all the "Big Sister" stuff. Is she excited for the new baby?

Thank you so much (We think she is a keeper). She is oblivious. I try and talk about the new baby but she doesn't get it. They are going to share a room so we have started preparing it, but she doesn't notice. She just thinks the new toddler bed in the room in something fun to sit on. She is mesmerized by other babies and very independent so I am sure she will love her sister once she is here.

Re: the split; most of the girls that were active during the split are now gone. I think they have a facebook page and pop up from time to time. I know I should jump in. Maybe I will build up to it

She sounds adorable! I bet she does great. When my sister was born, my mom bought me a special baby doll with all the baby stuff to go with it, so it was like I had my own baby to take care of, too. Definitely made the transition easier.

She has a baby doll that she loves, feeds, rocks now. I am hoping she will just mimic me once her sister is here. I am planning on having DH take her to build-a-bear once DD2 is born to make a bear for herself and one for the baby. This sounds like a great idea in theory, so we will see how it all pans out.

I avoided msg boards all together & waited until the 2nd trimester was about to hit before sharing with parents & my direct coworkers ... just joined up at the end of June/beginning of July myself after lurking a bit & am getting more active this past week as I await next weeks measurement ultrasound.  I will probably disappear for a while come early/mid-August when school/work is back in session (along with the other teachers that are on here).

Where do you teach that school starts so early??? I don't go back until after Labor Day (granted, we had school up until the last Wednesday in June.)

Welcome! I'm sorry about your loss! You'll find that a lot of women here have had a loss. We have a check in on Thursdays (I think) that you should consider joining. I hope you have an uneventful remainder of your pregnancy! Congrats on team pink!
