Possible Early Symptoms?

Hi everyone,

I wanted to find out if anyone got a cold during the first couple weeks of their pregnancy.  I have a 4 year old so I don't remember whether I got sick with her in the beginning, but in March when I found out I was pregnant the second time (however miscarried at 6 weeks) I did get a slight cold.  I just wanted to find out if anyone experienced this early on in their pregnancy and when.  I've read that it's possible because the immune system takes a little dip.  The earliest that I can test is Monday (although that's 5 days before my missed period)...I'm scheduled to start next Saturday.  I'm just driving myself nuts because I want it to happen.

I had the flu the week before I got pregnant with my son and got a cold the week after I found out I was pregnant with this one.  I think it's purely coincidence but ya never know I guess.

If you think you might be feeling symptoms from a pregnancy than you  might as well test. I tested at 10dpo and got a BFP and I know people that tested earlier.

I'd say it's pretty unlikely for it to be linked to pregnancy at all at this point if you started feeling sick more than a day ago...

If you have a normal 28 day cycle with typical luteal, and you're not due for AF until Saturday next week, you would only be aprx one week since ovulation. Implantation usually doesn't occur until 6-10 days past ovulation. You wouldn't experience any pregnancy symptoms at all until at least a day or two after implantation. It can occur as early as 3 days after ovulation, but that's very rare.

I had strep throat in the first couple weeks of my pregnancy (before I got my BFP) I was puking and felt nauseated but I thought it was from the fevers, body aches and chills, but apparently not.

I hope you get your BFP! Fingers crossed for you

With both my first baby and this one I had a sore throat with swollen glands that lasted from 1 week post conception until about 5 weeks pregnant. It was the sore throat this time around that I noticed coming on at 6 dpo that prompted me to take a preg test at 8dpo and yup, I was preg.

Yes, I had around my 4th week a sore throat and stuffy nose for about a week and a half, and its so rare I get those symptoms in the summertime.
