Middle name for Olivia or Caroline

Dh and I are stuck between these two names.  We love them both but he slightly prefers Olivia and I slightly prefer Caroline.  We are team green and have a boy name already.

So I think our deciding factor will be middle names for each and which we like better.  Any suggests for middle names in regards to Olivia or Caroline?

    What's the first letter of your last name? (I have a thing with initials)

    (any one syllable mn would go nicely with either name)

    My last name starts wtih R and ends with N.  one syllable.

    I like Olivia Grace but I feel like 3/4 of the Olivia baby names I see (and that's alot) have the middle name Grace.   I really like Caroline Olivia but DH didn't like it

    I may be biased as it is my name, but I really like Emma with Caroline. Also, if they're options, I think both Caroline Olivia and Olivia Caroline are beautiful names.

     I hope Caroline wins. I love being a Caroline!

    Caroline - thanks for the input!  Question: Do people tend to automatically shorten it and call you Carol? That is DH's fear of naming her Caroline as he likes it but not Carol.

    Nope. I can honestly say personally no one has ever tried to shorten my name(that was a concern my mom had as well when naming me. She was worried people would try to call me "Cary/Carry/Cari." never happened though, even at school). The few people who called me by a nickname it was  based on my LN. My one problem has been some people will say Carolyn, but that's not that big of a deal and easily corrected.

    Do you and DH like the NN's for Olivia?

    I love Caroline! I think it's a lot less trendy right now than Olivia. If we had a girl we were going to name her Lila Caroline (Caroline is my middle name).

    Our LO is Alivia Anne.  But I think that name works for either Olivia or Caroline.
