Cloth Diapering

recommend your wetbags for daycare/childcare provider

Hi Ladies,

I will be going back to work in October and my mom will be taking care of DD.  She is totally on board with using cloth diapers and is even comfortable with prefolds and covers.

I would like to get some new wetbags for her dirty diapers.  I currently have two Mother's Touch wetbags for when we are out but they are pretty small.  They only hold about 2-3 diapers.  What wetbags do you recommend?  Would two be enough if I wash every other day?

Thanks!

  • I don't have a particular brand that I like; I usually buy whatever is onsale on one of the deal websites. Zulilly has some wetbags right now. They're 12 x 14, and my others that size hold enough for the day. I have three wetbags that I rotate so I only have to do laundry every two or three days. I could probably survive with 2.

  • I have a few planetwise wet/dry bags, a Bumpkins wetbag, and 2 cheapie Babyland wetbags.  I prefer my Planetwise wetbags but my DC lady likes cheap babyland ones.  The babyland ones look tiny but stretch out pretty good and hold all of her dipes for the day with extra room.

  • Kanga Care! My dad watches DD, and that's my favorite wet bag to send, because it's huge. There's no section to store dry diapers, but that doesn't matter to me, since I send the dry diapers in the diaper bag itself (which is really a small duffel bag).

  • I like my weehuggers one. It has two pockets so it can hold clean and dirty.

  • I LOVE my monkeyfootdesigns wetbags https://www.etsy.com/shop/monkeyfootdesigns .  Kris is always coming out with great fabrics, you can request anything you want (check out her sold listings) and she will make or customize it for you, and she is so so nice.  Oh, and they are fabulous quality.  Mine can hold water without leaking.  They are not the cheapest option but you also wont' ever need to replace them.

  • I worried about this, and it turns out my "holds 3" wetbags are fine. We drop him off clean and change him when we get home, so 3 diapers is a full day.

I have Fuzzibuns and Itzy Ritzy because that's what the deals sites were selling when I needed more. Both work fine. I would just send 2 smaller bags if I thought daycare needed more room.

  • I have PlanetWise small, medium and the large hanging wetbags.  We have been using them for over two years and they are holding up very very well.  The PUL is still good, and the fabric outer is still vibrant and in great condition.  I think the medium size is great, you could probably put six or so diapers in there easily.
