Just curious how many naps your lo takes? and for how long? What times? We tried going down to 1 nap the past few days for our 14 month old and it doesnt seem to work... he has been napping at about 10 ish and then going down later for pm naps (4pm) he then goes to bed about 8:30 pm. So we thought maybe one nap was all he needed, BUT he decided to only take an hour nap at noon then be up til 9pm... crying. Then the other day he finally took nap at 2:30 til 5. was completely over tired. maybe he is not ready... I am fine with that:)

At that age he was taking 1 nap at daycare, starting at 11:45ish, and he would sleep for 2-2.5 hours usually, sometimes 3 hours. When he was at home on the weekends, sometimes he would take two naps, but we eventually managed to get him down to one nap at home too.
He still sleeps like this now that I am a SAHM, usually naps from 12-2 or 3.
if at daycare, it's 2 naps. she never gets a long nap there... it's usually 45min - 1 hour for each one.
at home, she'll usually take one long one... 2-2.5 hours... sometimes 3 hrs... around 10 am.
At 14 months, some days were 2 nap days and some were just 1 nap. On two nap days, it was usually wake up by 6:30 or 7, nap by 9:30 for 45 min - 1 hr. and then second nap was by 1 or 1:30 for 1.5 - 2 hrs. 1 nap days he'd sleep for 2.5 to 3 hours.
By 15 months, I had to move him to mostly 1 nap since my older DS was out of preschool for summer. If he took 2 naps, it was only if he was up by 6 or 6:30. And I'd lay him down by 8:30 or 9 for a 30 minute nap. Then we'd head out for an activity with second nap by about 1pm. On 7am wake up days, we were out the door for an activity by 9 and home by 11 or 11:15 for lunch and 12pm nap. He'd sleep anywhere from 1.5 - 3 hours. He often took 2 naps on weekends, but still only 30-45 mins in the morning. I'd wake him up to make sure he'd still nap in the afternoon.
Now at 16 months, he's pretty much solidly on 1 nap. I usually lay him down sometime between 12:15 and 12:30 and he sleeps until 2:30 or 3pm. He goes to bed between 7:30 and 7:45 and is usually up between 7 and 7:30am.
It was a fairly easy switchover this time around. His older brother was terrible to switch to 1 nap, but by 14 months he was refusing to nap in the afternoon if he napped at all in the morning so we moved to 1 mid day nap. It took several months to lengthen out. It was rough....somedays he'd only sleep 45 minutes all day!
If he'll still nap 2 times per day and you're ok with that, then don't rush him! Nothing worse than a grumpy toddler!
Two naps on weekends. Wakes at 7. Nap at 9:30-11:30. Then second nap from 2-3 or so. Down at 7 for the night.
However, at daycare she only naps once a day from 11-1 or so.
At 16 months he was down to one a day. It is about 1.5-3 hours, generally.
Somedays he does to 2 shorter naps, but in general, if he's well rested from the night before, one nap a day will do!
DD is almost 17m an still takes two naps. Each one is 45m-1.5h long. Every now and then, she'll take one long 2-3 hour nap instead, but most often, it's two, and I LOVE that she still takes two naps! She's a sleepy kid and it's what she needs.
Don't push LO into one nap unless he seems ready for it. I know two kids in the 20-22m range that still take two naps. Every kid is different!
He usually takes two naps but they are a crapshoot. Sometimes they last 10 minutes- sometimes 2 hours. I've even had a few last for 3 hours recently.
He follows a 2-3-4 schedule. 1st nap 2 hours from wake-up. 2nd nap 3 hours from end of 1st nap, bedtime 4 hours from end of 2nd nap.
He grows through phases and tries to only nap once a day- but then he'll only nap for 45 minutes and the day is a disaster. After a week or so he always go back to two naps.
My DD does best with two naps. She wakes up around 7:30 and is usually ready around 10:30 for a nap. It will last about 1 - 1.5 hours.
Then around 3ish, she will go down for another hour or so.
I'm off for the summer but when she starts back to DC next month, she will be in a classroom where they only take one longer nap after lunch. Fingers crossed that she adapts!
I think we were down to 2 a day at that point. She gets up at 7am, napped from 10-11:30, up from 11:30-2:30, nap from 2:30-4:00, up from 4:00-8:30pm.
I think she transitioned down to 1 nap closer to 18mo (but it took about 2 months for that transition to finish!), and started out taking that one nap around 1:00-2:30, and recently (around 25mo) pushed that back to 2:30-4:00pm.
The two months of transition to one nap a day were NOT pleasant. Some days she'd get enough sleep, some days she wouldn't... naps were all over the place. It was quite icky.
14 months is still on the early side for converting to 1 nap; more often it's between 16 and 18 months.
DS just switched to 1 nap and is 18 months. At 14-16 months he was taking 2, normally at 9:30 and 3:00, for about 1 hr. 20 minutes each.

It just depends on the day. My DS is almost 14 months.
Weekdays
3 hour nap from 11-2
45 min.-1 hour afternoon nap around 4:30 sometimes.
On weekends, it's usually 1 long nap around 3-4 hours long at about 10 am.
We were in the midst of the 2-1 transition during that time. Before he was settled on one nap he was sleeping for maybe 45 minutes the entire day. Hell. Then I moved him to a 1pm nap and all was well after that. Any nap earlier than 1pm = very short. When I pushed him to 1 he started sleeping 2+ hours every day. We had a wonderful stretch of 3.5 hour naps, but they have shortened a bit as his night sleep has increased.
If he will still sleep for 2, don't mess with it. Mine would absolutely not take a 2nd nap.
Weekday: Wake at 6:30am, possible nap in car 7:30- 8am, nap at daycare 12-2pm, nap car ride home 6-6:30, bed at 8pm.
Weekend: Wake at 6:30am, nap 9:30- 11:30am, possible afternoon nap 3-4pm, bed at 8pm.

Personally, I wouldn't worry about it too much. A is almost 13 months and still takes 2 naps. She has recently dropped her third nap, but it took her about a month to do so. Now, we are pretty solidly at 2 naps. If and when she is ready to go to 1, I figured we'll follow her cues and go from there.
But hey, this is coming from someone who is not a super scheduler. I appreciate a good routine, but I don't force her to sleep at certain times just because it's that time. I just put her down when she seems ready.
