Belly Button Question

Hi Ladies, I was just wondering if anyone knew when pregnant belly buttons start to protrude out? I still definitely have an "innie" belly button and I thought maybe by now I would notice some changes, but nothing yet.

Now that I think about it...do all belly buttons protrude out in pregnancy?

It's definitely different for everyone, mine still is an innie but it's much shallow-er than it was before! My SIL's never fully popped out even though she didn't by any means have a tiny bump. That's a hard question to try to have an answer for

Mine never fully popped with DD1, but it feels much shallower these days than it seemed to with her. My SIL's popped like crazy though, even though she was much smaller than much. I think it's just different for everybody.

Mine is still an innie, but more shallow. I've heard some people say theirs pops and others say theirs gets stretched out to the point that it looks like they have no belly button anymore! Just depends on the person I guess!

I don't think all of them pop out.

I have always had an extremely deep belly button, and then it goes to the right and curves even farther, haha...

My belly button has been shallow now since about 17ish weeks. It is on the brink of popping, IMO. However, it still curves to the right, so I can't imagine how the next months are going to go. I mean, logically speaking, I would think it would have to quit tunneling to the right before it was physically able to POP.

I don't think I've ever "voiced" these things about my belly button. My bellybutton sounds SOOO weird.

OH YEAH! And my belly button is pierced, I haven't worn it in a while anyway, so no biggie there. However, I have noticed that the skin between the two holes of the piercing (entrance and exit of the piercing) is stretching REALLY bad... ugh... it's soo tight right there, I don't know how that patch of skin will fare either.

Mine never protruded.  It just got flat.  Flat as a pancake.  I assume it will with this one as well.

Mine is an innie too.  Just yesterday I was noticing how I could actually see the bottom of it.  Who knows if it will pop, but it's definitely changing.

My belly button is an innie, but with kind of an inner flap of skin that sits inside. I don't know if that makes sense, but I used to be able to turn my belly button "inside out" (press on the outside to pop it and make it look like an outie)before I was pregnant as a kind of party trick. Anyway, I definitely popped out with DS, but can't remember when. My belly button has been popped for about 1-2 weeks now.

I know lots of people who never had theirs pop, so it totally just depends on your belly button anatomy.

Add one more to the "freakishly deep" club.

IDK if mine will come out or not. I really doubt it, my sisters didnt and we have similar deep  bellybuttons.

I plan to inspect further tonight.

Mine only barely popped with DS at about 38 weeks.  Before it popped it was really flat almost; right now it is becoming very shallow though.

With DS #1 it stayed in until around 30 weeks I think it was and then I would pop out. 

This time it does what it wants lol.  Sometimes I'll look down and it's normal  and in, other times it's sticking waaay out and when I laugh it goes in and out.

Seems the same to me... maybe a little shallower than before because my belly button has always been on the deepish side. This is something I never even thought to look at or examine through my pregnancy so far. I guess I just figured I would see it pop if it popped haven't been paying much attention to it till just now and I'm sure it will draw my attention more often now

This. Sometimes (maybe when I'm bloated??) my belly button is tight and does this when I cough, laugh, etc:

Minus the water... unless I just got out of the shower.

Mine did the same- went totally flat. The folds of it went I to a perfect star shape... It was actually pretty cool.

This time the top half seems to be popping out a bit, but I'm sure as the stomach grows it'll flatten out

With DS and DD, mine never "popped," it just stretched and got shallow - perfect opp. for cleaning it out! HaHa.

Hahaha this thread cracks me up! I've been noticing my belly button getting shallower the past few weeks but I was worried I was being stupid wondering about it popping out. Belly buttons are so weird, and it's really hilarious to hear everyone describe theirs!
