I've been doing RIPPED at the gym but now that I'm pregnant I'm nearly passing out sometimes. Of course I take it easier when I start to get dizzy but I'm wondering if it's just the first trimester exhaustion and I'll soon be able to do it fine again or what. FYI RIPPED is sort of like insanity.
Re: RIPPED? Does it get better after 1st tri?
Ive done Ripped for a while now. Never making it to level 3 bc i rotate with other videos.
I prob wont do any of her normal vidoes while pg. They are just too involved etc. So I researched preg vidoes and came up with several that incorporate some of her moves that im familiar with and yoga to help with stretching. There are several that have workouts based on what tri youre in.
Try looking into those. If you feel like you are going to pass out, you prob shouldn't do them.
hi- I haven't been back to RIPPED since before I found out I was pregnant. My doctor said no kickboxing, and back when I got pregnant, there was a kickboxing segment in RIPPED. Have you been doing everything at full impact or have you tried modifying at all? My guess would be that if you're getting dizzy, you might want to stop, but you can talk to your doctor to see if he/she has any other suggestions.
Good luck!
I haven't done RIPPED, but I am a certified prenatal/postnatal fitness instructor.
Don't make yourself dizzy, get overheated, or dehydrated! And probably stay away from any activity where you could possibly get punched or kicked by accident (this tends to be the reason doctors prohibit kickboxing, even if it is just cardio conditioning).
That said: yes, it does get easier after the first trimester. Just take it easy for now, but be consistent with exercise, and you'll bust through into the land of improved energy and stamina!
