Which option would you go with:
A. Accept a new teaching job (if offered from possible position discussed) in your community close to LO, but have to start the new school year the first week of August
B. Stay at your current school of 4 years that is an hour away from LO, but be able to take an extended maternity leave up to a year
I'm going back and forth between these options. I may not have to make the decision if im not offered the other position, but wanted some feedback just incase. Part of me would love to be close to LO, but I haven't found a reliable daycare yet and would love more time with LO. Part of me wants more time that I can't get back with LO, but wonder if I will hate being an hour away from her (DH and family are in same town as LO). Part of me is scared to start in a new position with new principal, expectations, etc. where as my current principal supports family coming first.
Thanks for your help ladies:)
Edit LO will be two months old in August. Ticker is wrong as she came early.
Re: SAHM/working question
I'm also a teacher, adn you don't know what you're getting when you go to a new school. You seem pretty happy where you are with your principal and all, so that says a lot and I would stay for now. GL with your decision.
