Waiting for first appointment...

How's everyone doing? I am 7 weeks today and don't have my first appointment until week 9.... It's killing me to wait!  Just wanted to share with someone since we aren't telling many people yet. Anyone else in the same boat?

Hi Meg!

I think I'm in the same boat you are! I should be 7 weeks today (if my calculations are correct). I'm not getting into the doctor until later next week (7/6), which puts me at almost 9 weeks and is so frustrating!  

How are you feeling? I am worn out and feel so bloated. Well, I guess that's not bloating anymore.   It's difficult hiding this...

I'm also in the same boat but I have to wait even longer to see the doctor.  My appointment is at my twelve week mark. This is very hard to hide and hopefully with work time will go by fast!

Oh good I'm glad I'm not alone! My appointment is 7/9, which seems an eternity away. I feel pretty good... I've had some cramping off and on, but nothing too uncomfortable. I am definitely feeling bloated and tired  too. I guess I should feel lucky not to be sick all day (yet haha)! Any other 7 week symptoms?

Hi! I am new to the bump and thought it would be good for my wandering mind to start jumping into these message boards... I am 7w3d today and I have already went in twice for ultrasounds just because they weren't sure how far along I was. My husband and I got to hear the heartbeat on Friday when we were 6w6d and that was the most amazing thing ever! It was 115, which the nurse said was a little lower than normal, but it will increase as the baby grows. I am so hoping she is right. I, too, am so anxious for our first OB appointment which isn't until July 30th and we will be a little over 10 weeks. It will be so nice to finally sit down with our OB doctor for the first time...

I totally understand where all of you guys are coming from. I am in the same boat! I am hoping these message boards can be our saving grace for our FTM wandering minds. Good luck to all of you and feel free to reply back!

I'm 7 weeks today and TOTALLY understand. My symptoms so far have been tender boobs, super tiredness, lost my sense of taste, nose is super stuffy, a bit of mild food aversion and today for the first time some honest to goodness morning sickness before I went to work. As un-fun as it was I was also so excited and am taking it as a good sign. I have a midwife appointment at the beginning of August, but am going for an ultrasound on Thursday...wish me luck! And all the best to all of you. Can't believe we're having a baby!!!

Hello Ladies,

  I am 7 weeks today and don't get to hear the heartbeat till the 31st. My husband and I can't wait. I don't know if counting down days helps or makes it worse! This is my first time being involved with chatting with others while I was on theknot.com I didn't really spend much time on it. I'm looking forward to spending more time on thebump though.

I am 7 weeks 3 days today my first appointment is exactly 2 weeks from today so i will be 9 1/2 weeks then it is killing me to wait. With my daughter i was seen right away. But i just keep saying well i will be able to deffinatly hear the heatbeat and if they do an ultrasound the baby will be bigger more to see i guess then a little dot. Goodluck to all dont worry time will start to fly

Agreed this is my first pregnancy and waiting is driving me crazy, my appt is near end of week 8 where they said they will do the initial sonogram. I've had an infection they found out through the initial testing so I am on antibiotics and I am worried, and I feel I won't be able to not be worried until I hear a heartbeat at that appointment.

I had my intake appt on 9/14, all labs and info. My next appt. isn't until 10/26 I'll be 12wks 4days. I wish I could get in sooner to at least hear the hb and put my mind at ease.

That blows, im sorry to hear that..I would be very antsy too. Im 7 weeks and just had my second ultrasound :
we seen the little heartbeat and it was great..crazy it trippled in size since the last time we went 2 weeks ago! Hang in there its sooo worth it :

This is my second child.  my son is 7 so it's been awhile since i've done this.  this is also my husbands first so he isn't sure what to expect.  we have our first appointment in about a week and a half.  i'm excited.  love seeing that ultra sound!  i just have to ease my husbands nerves.  he's scared of infants.
