Hi all! My home has been multiples and PAIF. We just welcomed our twins, Ella Grace and Hailey Ann June 20th. They were born at 30 weeks and came way quiker then I was expecting. I had been on bedrest for 6 weeks. They were 3lb3oz and 3lb7oz at birth and I had a vaginal deliver with breech extraction of Hailey. With the exception of them coming too early, I couldn't have asked for a better delivery and recovery. The girls are doing well in the NICU. Both are on heated nasal canulas. Hailey is having some issues digesting but she is still feeding through her tube. Both girls were ruled out for NEC so I think they just need sometime to get things going.
Now for my question.... .How did you manage the visitors? That has been my biggest struggle. People of course want to come see them but it is just sooo overwhelming!
Re: Intro: Twins at 30 weeks and a ?
Congratulations on your twins!
We said no visitors except for my parents and siblings (and my BFF who is like a sibling) the entire time Adalyn was in the NICU. And my brother and his wife didn't get to meet her for about 6 weeks because they were battling with colds/infections from when my nephew started daycare. I told them that they had to be symptom-free for at least a week before they could come.

Welcome and congratulations on the birth of your little girls.
I would check with NICU, most have restriction on who can visit. Only grandparents and the babies siblings. I would just tell people at this time you want to get them well and that once they are home, we will have visitors at your own pace. Praying for a short and uneventful NICU stay. Please keep us posted.
Congrats on your babies! Mine was born at 30 wks, 4 days.
We only allowed one or two visitors at a time (NICU rules) and we spread them out so that we only had one visit every couple of days. It wasn't a problem at all, everyone was very respectful of our wishes and no one ever stayed more than an hour at the most (except the Grandmas).
