  • You guys, I wanted to be here for this thread blowing up, but I didn't want to miss my kids' youth.

We were on WIC for a year after C was born. You don't just get formula. That is simply not how it works. That is a bold faced lie if I ever saw one. Did you not think there were other people on welfare on this board?

Since I was on assistance, should my son not have been born? LMK.

I'm glad other women feel sorry for you, Jeannie (because I know that's what you're after). I don't at all, especially seeing as how every mothereffing offensive thing you have said has related directly to me. Your opinions are all clearly fed to you by your H and you are precisely the kind of sniveling idiot that gives all of us women a bad name. I bet you're a bad driver too.

Good luck with that 30k. I'll think of you and smile every time I cash my very own big girl paycheck and get to keep it.

My second FFFC is I wish women had never gone into the workforce. NOT because I think women can't do as well or better, but because I think women are better at raising kids (can stand the crying better, have boobs for feeding etc) and I wish every woman that wants to stay home can. This could be if women had stayed home. I really believe this was a major cause in the downfall of America. Thank you for FFFC!!! Embarrassed

Thought we all needed a reminder of what was said in the original "confession" (it still bugs me that she confused confessions with UOs, but I digress).

While she clearly said that she wishes this so that women who WANT to stay home can, there are plenty of other problems here.  The view that men are not as capable of raising children (isn't this the exact attitude we get so annoyed at when it comes from a man?  That raising children is "women's work"?) and that women "choosing" to go into the workforce created a society where 2 income homes are a necessity (not buying it).  And of course the fact that America has already had its downfall.

  • In Iowa your income for a family of 3 has to be $35, 317 or below to qulaify for WIC. The real issue it's ridiculous for you not to fight having to pay $30,000 to someone who may or may not be your husband child, that's a year of income almost. I would feel bad about posting the income thing, but I feel like you have already embarrassed yourself enough without my help. You are concerned about spending time with your son and not spending your life in a court room, but don't you think a few days in court that may clear your husband of a $30,000 debit, which if the child isn't his the money could go towards your family, be worth it?

You are ON welfare.  Your argument is invalid.
    Yes

Agreed. Not everyone qualifies for WIC, only those that have a low-income. Thus, WIC is a form of welfare. ( see https://www.welfareinfo.org/ ) No one is making comments about WIC = a failure as a mom. The point is that you cannot say you are against gov't assistance if you accept it yourself.

As I have always said, I am only against welfare as a way of life. Not those who use it as a helping hand.
