One more question for Jeanniez

I judge people who keep popping out babies, even though they can't afford them and live completely on government assistance. You dont need 4 kids while your husband is working 10 hours a week, going to school full time, and the gov't puts you up in a super cute 3 bedroom apartment and pays for your food and your husbands schooling. Thats the complete opposite of being a responsible person and parent, IMO.
Thank you for stating this. I agree. My DH and I both work all the time, still have no money, but this will be our only child. I get so mad at our neighbors who are on state ass, have 4 kids, 3 cars and a boat! Neither of them work. They stay home and drink beer all day
I don't want to drink beer but the boat would be nice. My DH and I think we should be able to go to their house (and anyone on food stamps) and eat dinner with them, since our taxes paid for the food. And we think they shouldn't be allowed to buy junk food with FS. Only healthy food you have to prepare. No lunchables, chips, candy, expensive food like shrimp, ect.
What was that nonsense again about working women being the downfall of society?

What I said was that woman going back to work was.... (as in past tense, not people of today) And I still believe that that was the begining. That and a few other things like electing ourselves 'gifts; but I'm sure you won't understand that, either, and there is nothing more I can say to explain it, and I won't. It's still my opinion.
For the last time. I don't judge women who work now, most have to and that was my point. I had to, no choice. Those that want to, fine, that is your right. As it is my right to wish that only one in your family wants to work(you or your SO, it wouldn't matter to me) so it would be easier for one parent to stay home in every household that wanted to. Why are you beating this dead horse again?
As for the state assistance goes, I'm NOT GETTING ANY FOOD, JUST FORMULA. Did you hear me this time? I shouldn't have had to, but I failed as a mother and couldn't feed my child. Thanks for bringing that up again and making me cry and feel like a failure all over again. We planned for me to EBF. This wasn't possible. That added to the extra bill we took on, put us just over the edge. Yes, I judge myself for this, but I have to feed my child. Once T is 1, no more assistance. We won't need it then, even though we qualify.
I do judge people who have mutliple kids on purpose and are completly on welfare and/or were before they had more kids, had more kids to stay on welfare, etc. Those people. Everyone deserves to have one child, and if you need assistance to help yourself up, fine, that's why it's there. If you have no plan or goal to be off the assistance, I judge you. Sorry, but it's how I think
I suppose when I don't post during July, you will think I've 'left'. My mom is just coming for a visit. I don't figure I'll have time. If you don't believe I left before because of back surgery, I can PIP.... I will have the scar forever. It was also due to lack of reliable internet access once I left work.
I have a bad habit of needing to explain myself (no, really, you don't say?) but I'm trying to get better. Even with all I've said, there's more to the child support case. None of it is a lie and what I've left out does not change the outcome. We really are getting screwed and sometimes that just happens. We could spend the next few yrs in court and save the money, but then I would miss my son growing up. Nothing is worth that. If you can't understand that, maybe that's something you need to look at in yourself.
I've had the last year and a half to come to terms with this, and the bottom line is it doesn't matter what you think. We're doing what's best for our family. I'm done with this topic now, so say what you like.

No one brought up BFing failure, they brought up you being on WIC checks and the fact that you have posted that you judge those that get assistance.

Also, why do you think fighting this would cause you to miss your son growing up? You do realize that with your type of case you would physically be in court maybe 2 or 3 times. It's not a murder charge, it's really more research and lawyer work.

Democracy, or the form used in the United States and most advanced countries, representative democracy or a republic, seems to be the best method social engineers have concocted to date to afford people an opportunity to have a voice in their government. The world continues to be overrun with dictatorships, socialist governments, a few communist governments, and Islamic theocracies. We can argue the merits of democracy versus the alternatives, but at this point in history, most authorities on the subject recognize that democracy has proven to be the best solution ever tried on the planet. The United States is not the first successful democracy in the world. Over 2,500 years ago, the people of Athens, Greece created a true democratic form of government that lasted for nearly 200 years but was eventually destroyed not by the people but by a military overthrow by a powerful neighbor. On the negative side, they kept slaves in much the same manner as in the days of our fledgling democracy. The most intriguing aspect of the Athenian democracy was that the people voted directly on every issue that affected their lives. Politicians, or so-called representatives of the people, did not exist.

ETA- He was a Political Science major and very smart with that type of thing, so he is aware of all different political views.

The site is definitely tea party, but I think she was called a communist b/c she was quoted for blaming democracy for the downfall of society not her description (or the description on a link she posted) for the downfall of democracies...
I did not blame democracy. I blamed the rise of 2 income households and electing ourselves gifts as the downfall of democracy/society. If you're gonna keep this up, at least get it right. Now I have a family to care for. Enjoy your night.

ITA with all of this. Part of me feels bad for you, and then part of me is like.. wtf is she still doing here trying to re-explain herself to people she doesn't even know?!? I agree that maybe taking some time to figure all this out on your own would be highly beneficial to you and your family.

Jenniez - do you really think that if every position of power were held solely by men that you would enjoy the many protections and rights you do today?
Look up the Comstock Law as it relates to contraception. You are so adamant that you are going to only have one child, well without women in positions of power working to overturn such nonsense, you would have to rely on the good ole rhythm method and probably end up with multiple children dependent on welfare.
You are so misguided that it is sad.
