Hi Ladies!
I'd like to take a minute to thank hijoi for running the check-in up til now. Today is my first one in the lead! I thought I'd introduce myself to those of you that don't know my story. My name is Kelly (benoitfan) and I am 40 yo. I am the proud mama of one DS (2.5) and an angel baby (Oct 2011). We are hopeful that this peanut will complete our family. I look forward to getting to know you all better over the coming months. Joi tells me that running the check-in will make the weeks fly by and I am totally up for that.

I'll admit it, I'm a Bachelor/Bachelorette/Bachelor Pad fan. I never miss it. I also like Sisterwives.

I had more bleeding last wed and went to the ER again. This time, they did an internal (all was good) and a full u/s to determine the cause of the bleeding. I was diagnosed with a large SCH (7x2x2cm). I am supposed to take it easy. My OB was on vacay last week, so he doesn't know the results of the u/s til this am and he's on call today and tomorrow. His receptionist was going to talk to him and see if he needs to see me before my next scheduled appt on the 28th. I also went for the 2nd tri blood draw that goes with the NT scan and the 1st Tri draw to determine the odds of trisomies. Should have those results next week. Having seen the baby a few extra times with these ER u/s I am pretty confident that lo will be ok as far as trisomies are concerned.

I actually don't have cable so all my TV is on Netflix... My newest pleasure (which I'm bummed only has one season on Netflix so far) is Downton Abbey. It's a PBS series, sort of an historical drama.

I passed my 3hr glucose!!! I had GD last time so after failing the 1hr, I fully expected to fail the 3hr this time, but all of my readings were good this time! I'm so excited!
Ok, this may sound dumb as I have a lo at home, but I am not sure I know what BH feel like. I would assume I had them with DS, but I don't specifically recall ever thinking...oh that must be BH. Hopefully this time I'll figure it out! LOL.
congrats on passing you GTT. I'm sure with your history that was a huge relief. I didn't have GD with DS, but I'm wondering if I might this time around. Baby is consistently measuring big (9d ahead at this point, was 5d head at 12w) and I wonder if that might mean GD. I have only gained 6lbs so far, and all of that was in the first 12w, so who knows.
Well, they kept telling me DS was "average size". I think our defintion of average differed alot. I figured around 7.5 lbs, he weighed in at 9. Maybe he was average at 37w and gained a couple of pounds in the last few weeks, I'm not sure, but something was off somewhere! Here's hoping your little lady, stays just that, little!

24 week appointment and 1-hour GT test tomorrow. Had a repeat anatomy scan last week, and everything looked good. He was measuring at 1 pound, 5 ounces. We also finally registered last week (or started) and picked out our crib and dresser this weekend. We'll probably order them next weekend because I have to work weird hours this week.

My TV guilty pleasure is the "Real Housewives" Series on Bravo. Total trash but I love it.

Still undecided on whether to find out what the sex is. We have two weeks to decide. It would be so nice to just have a surprise but my grandmother wants to know so she can start making a quilt. Plus I wanna shop. Any advice ladies??
GL at your appt tomorrow and with your GTT. Glad to hear your little man is looking good and congrats on starting the registry. It's always a work in progress, so don't be afraid to add and delete things as you get closer to your EDD.
Finding out sex is a personal thing. Initially with DS, I wasn't going to find out, but DH wanted to and I wanted time to wrap my head around how I would handle a girl (I am NOT girly in any way). Turned out it was a boy and we were thrilled. This time around we are finding out because I want to know if I will be re-using DSs clothes or the clothes my sister gave me from her DD. Sis doesn't want the girl clothes back, so if it's another boy, I'll save the cutest things for my SIL and take the rest to Once Upon A Child for a store credit.
IMO finding out sex is a surprise at 20w, just as it is at 40w. I was glad we found out because we started calling DS by name as soon as we knew and were able to put the finishing touches on his nursery (name on wall) and buy a couple of cute potential take home outfits. There is no wrong answer though, so do whatever you and your DH are most comfortable with. Another option is to get the tech to write it on a paper and put it in an envelope and give it to your grandma, telling her you don't want to know, so she can make the quilt and keep the secret.
Benoitfan, Can you take me off the Feb 13 list? I saw my OB this morning and she confirmed that I'm miscarrying at 7 weeks. The good news is that I conceived this pregnancy naturally so hopefully I can do it again in a few cycles.
I've enjoyed visiting with you ladies for this past month or so and hope I get to see you all again soon.
I wish everyone smooth sailing for the rest of your pregnancies and beautiful babies that will arrive anywhere from 11 days to 9 months

We don't have cable or anything - so I only get to watch "TV" on the computer on occasion. there isn't a lot of current TV that I enjoy, but I can hardly wait for Warehouse 13 to be back in a few weeks, and am hoping that Downton Abby will be as exciting in its next season (hopefully this winter when I can sit around watching it and nursing the baby).

We don't know who we're having yet - baby was a bit too tiny still - but the perinatalogist tried to look anyway. I was SO hoping to know. Since we know this is most likely our last one, and I've always had babies in the summer before, I really want to start clearing out all the boxes of clothes that will be the wrong sex & season before we start schooling again in Aug. Boo. Now I'll have to wait.

First U/S this morning. We could only see the gestational sac. RE said I'm about 5.5 weeks. U/S #2 is scheduled for 06.25.12. Trying to remain cautiously optimistic at this point but it's so hard not to worry.

I am so sorry for your loss. I have been in your shoes, if you are looking for a board for comfort the m/c-pregnancy loss board is a good place to start. Also, the TTCAL board was a lifesaver for me after my loss. GL to you, hope you are back soon.

Saw our little peanut on ultrasound again last Friday. OB says it looks just perfect but she changed my DD to 1/22/13, so 2 days earlier. Next on the list is to contact insurance to find out if they cover the MaterniT21 test so I can get that done. I am still fighting m/s and some depression but went to the gym today for the first time in months and it felt GOOD to get moving again.
Glad you had a good appt. Hope that your insurance will cover the test, although I know most only cover the first $200.
QTW: I love cheesy tv from the 2000's - I am currently addicted to Charmed!

As for the vents....you are nearing the home stretch and you've been there before so I know you are ready for lo to make an appearance in another couple of weeks. Good to see you hear. BTW, I'm not sure I ever told you before, but I remember you from back in 09 when I was pg with DS and you were expecting your little man. It doesn't seem like that long ago in some ways, but in others it was a lifetime ago.

Of course I will probably never practice, but we'll see. If I can find a way to do a little pro bono with Legal Aid while on mat leave (ya, I figure this is completely unattainable), maybe it'll lead to something more.

If I didn't have a floorboard or a motor, I think I could power my car by foot like Fred Flinstone! My feet are huge!! My doc isn't worried about it, so I'm trying not to be.

congrats on officially becoming an attorney. Hopefully you will get to use that in some way in the future. You never know what life holds and you will always have the achievement whether or not you persue it further.
Sorry to hear about the feet. That is definitely something I am not looking forward to. I had a November baby last time around and thankfully wasn't too swollen in the heat of the summer, hoping for the same this time around. Glad the doc isn't worried. Oh and congrats on your GIRL!
