Diaper Shipping Question

I sold a diaper to someone in Canada, and when I try to set up shipping through PayPal, the lowest shipping price I can come up with is $18. That doesn't seem right. What am I doing wrong? Is it cheaper if I go to the post office?

    My experience was similar and that you need to go to the post officetoget areasonable deal.

    Just one diaper?  It should cost more like $6, I'd go through the post office. Are you doing express? Make sure it's ground shipping maybe?

    I'm in Canada and I don't think I've ever spent more than $12 on shipping ever. Although the province their in does make a pretty big difference, I'm in Ontario.

    I *THINK* PP assumes delivery confirmation, which I understand is quite expensive to Canada. You'll be better off going to the PO and asking for the cheapest option (and make sure the buyer is ok w/no confirmation)

    Yeah, I'd go to the post office.  I just shipped a big box of PFs and workhorses and it only cost $15.  So something must be wrong. :)
